The kids are working incredibly well, with great energy for all the various tasks remaining. In the last two days they’ve starting working en masse on art pieces in the corridor. We rolled out 15m of plastic sheeting and out came the glue, paints, canvasses and brushes along with overhead projectors. Some of the canvasses are 2×1.5m - quite impressive.
The last few weeks have been hard work, with many tasks to be completed in limited time but these last two days seem to have given a reason to all of the work. At the same time the kids are completing many of the tasks and putting the printed work in large cardboard portfolios ready for the big day. This file gives a building sense of confidence.
We’ve been practising the song We Are The World, from 1986. I’ve taught them a harmony which sounds great and I’m hoping that we can record during the week after the Exhibition in the secondary music room. Groups of 4 students are singing each line, just like the original soundtrack video. The other song we’re practising is Mad World. We’re not quite there but thankfully we have one more week.
Michael and I, along with our teacher aides Natasha and Irada, have prepared an extensive teacher display of the teaching process! We have a stretch of wall along with the kids.
