Registration procedure of foreigners and stateless persons changed in Azerbaijan

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has introduced amendments to his previously signed decree “On creation of the state migration service of the Republic of Azerbaijan”.

The due information has been provided by the official press.Now the visas for officials of the diplomatic representations and consulates of foreign countries, functioning in Azerbaijan, as well as representations of international organizations and members of their families, foreigners visiting the country on special diplomatic missions will be prolonged by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan. Visas for other foreigners and stateless persons, entering Azerbaijan on visa basis, will be prolonged by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the country on basis of the resolution of the State migration service of Azerbaijan on the prolongation of the term of temporary residence of these people in the country.
