Sunday Azeri lesson

Had another Azeri lesson this afternoon. This next week is a mountain to climb, in terms of learning conjugations. The conjugated verbs go onto the end of the noun, potentially making quite long words, but so far this is part of what I’m learning. The extra thing is that there’s various endings that are affected by the last vowel of the noun - two or four different endings for each person of the verb.

Mən müəlliməm - I am a teacher
Sən müəllimsən - You are a teacher
O müəllimdir - He / She is a teacher

Biz müəllimik - We are teachers
Siz müəllimsiz - You (formal) are a teacher
Onlar müəllimdirlər - They are teachers

The apartment is packed and sheets are washed. The plan is that the school moves me tomorrow, although there is room for me to be suddenly told that they’ve postponed the day for moving. I’m not sure what I’ll do if that happens considering everything I need is in boxes and suitcases.
