Bloody ice!

A simple walk outside almost turned into a few days away from school and a sling for six weeks.

As I’m moving apartments on Monday (that’s the plan from school)  I finally took some original paintings from Australia and Guatemala to the framers’ but even though the temperature has been above zero for a while, there is still ice over the footpaths and carparks. You guessed it, I slipped again, but this time I must have tried to protect the cylinder of rolled paintings as I landed on my elbow which transferred the impact to my shoulder. Apart from feeling stupid, when I was on the ground, I feared that the shoulder was broken, as the impact was so strong.  I am however thinking that not too much damage was done, apart from feeling a little bruised.

I have inherited Michael’s old apartment, where three were living.   It gets lots of morning sun, has a wee view of the Caspian if you lean out on the balcony, has a large lounge room, kitchen and two bedrooms.  It’s an old apartment but it’s still close to Fountain Square and shops, which is the important factor for me, seeing as though I don’t have a car.   One room already packed!
