It took two days to get home, including a 17 hour stop-over in Singapore. I left school at 9.30am Wednesday and got to Adelaide airport at 7.30am Friday.
It’s cold, dark and wet, like an Adelaide winter should be, and one is forever thinking about lighting and maintaining fires in this Aldgate house. Maybe I have to think ahead to the next two years and cut down the woodlot so that there is enough firewood to get Tanya through the winter months.
Already I have had a couple of emails from my Istanbul students, which gives a warm fuzzy feeling. I hope that communication continues over the coming years and that they’ll keep me up to date with the big events in their lives.
