Leigh in Azerbaijan

Late this afteroon foreign teachers living on campus were told to leave at 3pm to go home and wait for census data collectors who would be knocking on our door.  We were informed of fines for not having your data collected and there were heavier fines for giving false information.   This was a strange email to get as school only finishes at 3.15, people had other engagements and no notice at all was given.

As a result of one strong reply another email was sent out saying that data collectors would be on campus for three days so not to worry.   Later again another email was sent out announcing that it all had to be completed by tomorrow afternoon and this time some extra arrangements were put in place so that teachers could give their information to a admin officer and simply sign the form.  Sometimes it’s hard knowing where you stand.
